Ezurio, a leading supplier of Bluetooth and 802.11 (Wi-Fi) embedded RF modules, as well as M2M (machine to machine) solutions for wireless data communication applications serving the retail, automotive, healthcare, and other market segments including EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale), has been sold to Laird plc, a leading supplier of electronic components and wireless products, for £12.5 million.
Kemp Little acted for the management team on the transaction. KL has acted for Ezurio and its management team since September 2004 when it advised the management team on the MBO of the business from TDK Systems, backed by 3i Group plc. The team was lead by corporate partner, Siobhan McElhinney, with assistance from Anne Dolan (corporate) and Paul Garland and Jeremy Harris (IP).
Clarity Capital Partners were corporate finance advisors to the Ezurio's management team on the sale to Laird and also acted from them on the original acquisition from TDK System and fund raising from 3i.
