Broadband internet and the ubiquity and growth of digital commerce means more opportunities and challenges for brands. This seminar will focus on trade mark exploitation and protection in a converging world and will look at:
- the renewed interest in domain name, cybersquatting and metatag disputes and what to do about them
- comparative advertising, search and display, affiliate deals, deep linking, virtual worlds and other honest practices: what to do and look out for when another website uses your brand
- parallel imports and counterfeit goods
- threats and words of warning
