From 1 November, MiFID will overhaul and expand the EU single financial services market legislation. It is also a step change for both sides of the financial IT community. Financial services are a great example of the positive impact on an industry sector of the twin forces of liberalisation and technology development. But financial services regulation and IT law have until recently largely been seen as separate disciplines. This session, in aiming to splice regulation and IT together, will address key current MiFID technology legal issues from both the buy side and the supply side.
