Open source software: towards governance in the organisation

Open source software is now ubiquitous in the organisation. As open source legal issues have become more widely understood, attention now focuses as much on governance as on linking with Linux and jiving with Java. After providing an update on recent case law developments, Richard Kemp, senior partner, will focus on what organisations should consider in implementing good open source governance - getting buy-in from stakeholders, setting governance strategy, policy and processes and selecting the right IT and management tools for the job.
