Sign of the Times – Getting Redundancies Right

This session will cover the regrettably topical subject of making cost savings, covering:
- identifying true redundancy situations;
- successful” pooling and selection;
- consequential changes to terms and conditions;
- individual and collective consultation obligations; and
- tactics (both open and without prejudice) for achieving the desired result.
Head of Employment, David Williams, and assistant Kathryn Dooks looked at avoiding the common pitfalls as well as relevant practical considerations such as resourcing any cost-cutting programme and ensuring that a consistent approach is taken.
