The first question most employers want answered after receiving an employment claim is how much could the employee get? The second question is usually should we settle the claim?
Kemp Little partner and head of employment David Williams led a discussion answering these and other common questions. Drawing on a series of case studies, the session also looked at tactical issues such as when you should start settlement discussions, who should ‘open the bidding’ and how else you can encourage the employee to settle.
