Richard Kemp Ranked as Global Top 10 IT and Telecoms Lawyer in New Experts Guide

Richard Kemp, Managing Partner at specialist City technology law firm Kemp Little LLP, has been nominated by in-house counsel and his peers as one of the world's leading 10 lawyers in both IT and Telecoms for the forthcoming 'Guide to the World's Leading Technology, Media and Telecommunication Lawyers'.

In June 2004 Legal Media Group (http://www.legalmediagroup.com/expertguides/) commissioned its research department to carry out an in-depth study of experts in the fields of Technology, Media and Telecommunications. In October 2005 the survey results will be published in full.

The initial stage of the research process involved distributing 6000 questionnaires to senior practitioners or in-house counsel involved in technology, media and telecoms advice in 55 jurisdictions. The questionnaires asked leading figures to nominate those practitioners they considered to be among the most capable in this practice area. The results were analyzed and screened for firm, network and alliance bias.

As a final verification, the list was discussed in interviews with a select group of advisers from leading legal centres worldwide, including Brussels, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, New York, Stockholm, Toronto, Washington DC and Zurich.

Following this process, Richard Kemp passed the strict threshold of nominations for inclusion, and was ranked in the world's top 10 lawyers based on individual nominations received. He is the only nominee in the UK to have achieved this in two sections: IT and Telecoms.
