Kemp Little LLP, the specialist City Law firm, advised ANELVA Corporation, major Japanese manufacturer of equipment for the fabrication of semiconductors and LCDs using vacuum technology, on its takeover of Nordiko Technical Services Limited (NTSL). The move marks ANELVA's expansion into the UK, and captures NTSL's expertise in thin film deposition and surface modification technology.
Partner Charles Claisse and assistant Caspar Gibbons from the corporate group at Kemp Little LLP advised ANELVA and its directors. The acquisition completed on 1st June 2005.
Hiroyoshi Murota, new Chairman of NTSL, explained that "The acquisition of NTSL's unique technology will allow ANELVA to further develop its ion beam processing capabilities. Kemp Little's professionalism and commercial insight over the last few months has been invaluable."
Commenting on the transaction, Charles Claisse said "We were delighted to work with ANELVA Corporation on its first European deal. It's an excellent example of how we can help overseas companies on their European acquisition strategy."
Baker & McKenzie LLP acted for the shareholder of NTSL.
