kemp little wins 'stand-out innovation' ranking in 'ft innovative lawyers' survey

Kemp Little LLP, the leading UK technology law firm, has been awarded the top ranking in the 'management' category of the Financial Times' inaugural 'FT Innovative Lawyers' Special Report published on 29 June 2006.

The firm won 'stand-out innovation' status, the highest ranking, and scored top marks in its category for the 'impact' and 'vision' of its overall management of a specialist technology practice.

Commenting that Kemp Little has 'an unusual track record of innovation', the report noted the firm's particular management innovations as:

'really becoming part of the client's team';
'transparent internally';
'first firm to take LLP'; and
'one of the first to launch a billing extranet'.

The management category featured ten ranked firms, of which Kemp Little scored equal second highest marks overall.

The report is the FT's inaugural annual survey on innovation in the UK law firm market. Researchers analysed 300 submissions from 66 law firms in 9 specific categories, drawing up a series of rankings and tables identifying the most innovative firms. Each submission was then extensively researched and validated via interview, with a rigorous scoring process for shortlisted submissions against three main criteria: originality, vision and impact.
