Kemp Little Commercial Group Assistant Solicitor Jim Leason won the prestigious 'Assistant Solicitor of the Year' award at The Lawyer awards dinner held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 28 June 2005 .
Leason won the accolade for his work supporting EDS ' successful consortium bid for the £2.3 billion Increment 1 of the Ministry of Defence's Defence Information Infrastructure (Future) Project ( DII (F)) in March 2005.
Partner David Meredith, who led the Kemp Little work on this important project commented: 'the relatively low legal gearing for such a high value, high complexity technology project placed both Jim and I on the front line at all times. Jim did a great job, and we are very pleased that EDS have asked us to continue to support ATLAS going forward.'
Leason said: 'I'm delighted to have won this award against such tough competition. It's great to be able to get this sort of work at my level of qualification and working for a fantastic client like EDS on a deal of this calibre is just brilliant experience'.
