Restructuring

The Corporate team regularly advises on restructurings of all types including internal restructurings (including those required to achieve a specific tax and/or accounting result) and restructurings of targets both pre and post acquisition or as part of an investment round.

The team also works on restructurings outside formal insolvency processes with creditors and third party investors.

Key areas of our expertise include:

Acting for a VC backed PLC with a large shareholder base on its debt/equity restructuring as part of a follow on investment round under which other VC funds relinquished their shareholdings Acting for a mobile network operator on the restructuring of its retail sales channels including dealing with complex debt and tax issues

Acting for a number of AIM listed companies on their debt/equity restructuring Advising on the restructuring and wind down of subsidiaries of a global technology/internet company which involved structuring to ensure a specific tax result

The team works with a number of UK and overseas advisors, including insolvency practitioners, on restructuring activity.
