Data Protection Partner Joins Kemp Little

Kemp Little LLP, the leading technology and digital medial law firm, is delighted to announce that data protection expert Nicola Fulford has joined the firm as a partner in the Commercial Technology practice.

Nicola joined Kemp Little this week from Bristows LLP where she specialised in privacy and data protection.  She has a wealth of experience in advising businesses on the full range of related issues including international data transfers; responding to security breaches; protecting data in the Cloud; online profiling and related data use; and compliance when processing  personal data in any context.

Nicola also has extensive experience in outsourcing and complex technology transactions and brings great commercial insight to her work.  As well as working in private practice, she has worked for a global outsourcing provider and a major investment bank. Whilst at her previous firm, Nicola was seconded to a global leading internet search and online services corporation as Privacy Counsel.

Calum Murray, Head of Commercial Technology at Kemp Little said “Nicola brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team – this is the next piece of the jigsaw in terms of our fully comprehensive IT offering to businesses.  The regulatory focus on uses of personal information continues to sharpen.  With new law and increased enforcement activity likely in this area, Nicola’s arrival will help ensure our clients are even better prepared for legally compliant uses of data in their operations”.

On her new appointment, Nicola commented: “I’m delighted to have joined the team at Kemp Little and to be working with such great clients.  This year looks set to be a busy one with heightened awareness of privacy following the revelations in the news last year.  I am looking forward to supporting businesses in developing their strategies in relation to their data compliance and exploitation goals.”
