- An adequacy decision for the UK to be recognised as a safe country for data transfers. Link
- The European Data Protection Board has published version 2 of its Guidelines on the processing of personal data through video devices. Link
- The European Data Protection Supervisor has published its revised Guidelines on processing personal information within a whistleblowing procedure for EU institutions. Link
- The Information Commissioner’s Office published its Age Appropriate design code of practice for online services. Link
- The Austrian Datenschutzbehörde has reprimanded an adult content and dating website for not using an effective double opt-in procedure. Link
- The Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens shared the results of its cookie audit conducted late last year. Link
- Belgian Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit guidance on direct marketing and cookies. Link
- The European Data Protection Board has published draft Guidelines on processing personal data in the context of connected vehicles and mobility related applications. Link
- The Greek Data Protection Authority ruled that a data protection officer cannot represent the controller or processor before the DPAs in cases involving data protection issues Link
- DSG Retail Limited trading under the brands Currys, PC Wold and Dixons was fined £500,000 by the Information Commissioner’s Office for lack of security which culminated in a cyber-attack. Link
- The Agencia Española de Protección de Datos launched its campaign to prevent the dissemination of sexual or violent content on the Internet. Link
- The Agencia Española de Protección de Datos recent decision on the right to data portability. Link
- Doorstep Dispensaree Ltd was fined £275,000 by the Information Commissioner’s Office for lack of transparency and security. Link
- The Italian Autorità Garante per la protezione dei dati personali issued a fine of €11,500.000 to energy company Eni Gas e Luce (Link) and €27,800.000 to the telecommunications provider TIM (Link).
