Mental health awareness: homeworking
The start of Mental Health Awareness Week is a useful time to reflect on a recent survey of HR professionals and employees working from home, in which 86% of employees working remotely during lockdown considered that doing so was having a negative impact on their health. Similarly, almost four out of five HR managers expressed concern that homeworking encouraged a culture of “e-presenteeism”, whereby employees experienced a blurring of the lines between their home and their working lives.
A full summary of the report is available here, and is a reminder that the ability to work from home alleviates some concerns for employees, but also presents its own challenges.
The team at Kemp Little has been discussing these issues (and many others) as part of its “People and Pandemic” webinar series.
