If you are a sponsor of skilled non-EEA nationals under Tier 2, you may have been inundated with reminders from the Home Office to submit your requests for Unrestricted Certificates of Sponsorship (UCoS) allocation renewals.  Any unused UCoS will be removed on 6 April 2018.

The onus is on you – the sponsor – to request the renewal of your annual allocation by 6 April 2018 for the year 2018/2019.

When calculating the number of UCoS you anticipate you will need for the year, you may wish to consider whether any existing Tier 2 staff are due for renewal or if there will be the need for any Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfers).  Note that if you do miss the deadline, you will be able to request UCoS at a later date but it is always a good idea to have one or two UCoS available in the event you urgently need them.
