In other news, the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) will be increased from £200 to £400 per year from 8 January 2019. The costs will increase from £150 to £300 per year for students and youth mobility scheme migrants. The IHS is a charged levied on any non-EEA national applying for a visa to work, study or join family in the UK for more than six months.
